sarah and i were talking about our cousins this morning. you know what? there are twice as many grandchildren in my family than there are in hers. there are ten in hers, and TWENTY in mine.

anyway, she can't stop telling me how her cousins are all matched up [personality wise] by age. as in, the two eldest cousins are close, next two in age, then next two and SO ON AND SO FORTH. anyway, no such match up in our family cause we're so scattered and there's SO MANY OF US.

bad enough that i have exactly twice as many cousins as her. the gender ratio is the same as well. there are 4 girls and 6 guys in her family. there are 8 girls and 12 guys in mine. that's EXACTLY twice as many.

this was quite funny. and then comes the scary part.

i ask her where she ranks [by age] in all that mess of cousin, and she says she's the 6th grandchild. it takes me a while to figure out where i rank [DUH~] but i figure out that i'm the 12th grandchild.

AGAIN, EXACTLY THE SAME RATIO. how the hell did that work out?

so this means i'm twice as tall, twice as witty and twice as SMART as she is. consequently, i am also twice as stupid, twice as immature, and twice as fat as she is.
